Masha Kravchenko

Ukrainian florist, educator and founder of Amsterdam Flower School

Masha Kravchenko is a Ukrainian florist, educator and entrepreneur based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is the founder of Amsterdam Flower School and the Let’s FlowerUP floral studio, and the creator of professional floristry education programs including FUNDAMENTAL and BRIDAL.

With more than 13 years of experience in floristry, Masha teaches beginners and working florists how to design professional bouquets and arrangements, understand the logic of composition, and build a sustainable floral business. She teaches in English and Ukrainian.

Background
Masha began her career in finance in Ukraine before changing direction completely and dedicating herself to flowers. She moved to Amsterdam in 2017 and now runs her floral studio and Amsterdam Flower School at Fagelstraat 64, 1052 GG Amsterdam.

Working at the centre of the global flower trade has shaped her approach. She works directly with the Dutch flower industry, including auctions, growers, wholesalers and international trade shows, and brings that professional knowledge into her teaching.

Approach to floristry and teaching
Masha believes that a beautiful bouquet is not an accident. It is the result of understanding form, proportion, colour, texture and the character of each flower. Her teaching focuses on the reasoning behind every design decision, so that students can create confidently on their own rather than copy examples.
Her courses combine design technique with the practical side of the profession: choosing and buying flowers, pricing, finding first clients and starting to work as a florist.

Education programs
FUNDAMENTAL is an online course in professional floristry for beginners and aspiring florists. It covers bouquets and arrangements, flower care, composition theory and how to start working in the profession.

BRIDAL is an online course in wedding (event) floristry, covering bridal bouquets, wedding decor and working with wedding clients.

Floral Intensive is an in-person, hands-on program at Amsterdam Flower School for people starting a professional path in floristry.

Workshops are 2-hour creative sessions in Amsterdam, held in English and Ukrainian, including hand-tied bouquet workshops and seasonal workshops such as Christmas wreaths.

VIP Floral Tours are behind-the-scenes days in the Dutch flower world: flower auctions, growers, floral hubs and international trade shows. They are designed for florists, entrepreneurs and design lovers.

Masha also runs a Ukrainian-speaking community for florists and shares free floristry education on her YouTube channel.
